About the Role

Welford Systems is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, automation, and monitoring solutions. You will collaborate with developers, system administrators, and security teams to enhance deployment efficiency, scalability, and reliability. Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software development and deployment processes.
  • Manage and optimize cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting languages.
  • Implement containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Manage source control systems (Git) and integrate them with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Enforce security best practices across DevOps workflows, including vulnerability management and compliance.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve system performance and scalability.
  • Maintain and improve logging, monitoring, and alerting systems using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog
  • Support and optimize infrastructure for both Linux and Windows-based environments.
  • Participate in incident management, problem resolution, and root cause analysis.
  • Ensure documentation of infrastructure, processes, and best practices is up to date.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Experience or knowledge in Identity & Access Governance (IAG) / Identity & Access Management (IAM) is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure automation.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python) for automation.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration tools.
  • Strong understanding of networking, system administration, and security best practices.
  • Experience working with version control systems (Git) and managing repositories.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and optimize system performance.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
